On Trend: Mixed Metals

A jewelry trend that I have frequently been wearing is the chain link necklace look. I recently decided I wanted to dabble with the mixed metal look. I’ve always been a fan (and still am) of delicate and dainty chain, however lately I really love a more statement, chunky necklace that layers well with other pieces. It looks especially chic when gold and silver are mixed. Simply pairing two necklaces like this could elevate any basic look. Honestly, one of the most simple, but utterly chic looks is a simple white tshirt with a chain necklace and great pair of denim. It is simple, clean, and so timeless with the chain necklaces adding an on trend factor. I shared how I styled a new silver necklace with some of my favorite gold pieces below.

Kelly McCoyd is a 30 something Florida native who made her way to Washington, DC in 2017 by way of Texas.
