Here goes nothing…

Hi! I’m Kelly. I live in DC with my husband, Sheldon, and our sweet 5 year old black labrador, Bailey. I never EVER thought I would be a “blogger” and to be honest, I feel a little funny even referring to myself as one, but I guess now…I technically am?? Still feels weird. For as long as I can remember, I have loved shopping – always looking for the best dress for an event (or TBH, just whatever arbitrary activity I may have scheduled) or the perfect accessories. I also find joy in being able to share my finds with other people so that they too can look and feel their best.

That was one of the main influences for wanting to start this blog – using it as a method to easily share my finds or other things I love – from specific workouts to restaurants to travel guides. I’ve been posting on Instagram since April 2019, but decided it was finally time for me to follow through on completing the blog website – to make it really OFFICIAL! I hope to get more efficient with posting on the blog so I can compile all my fashion finds and other lifestyle recommendations in one central location – right now it is taking me FAR TOO LONG to compile posts, but I hope with more time and practice, I’ll get the swing of things. As always, would love to hear from you if you have any questions or general feedback!

Meet Kelly

Kelly McCoyd is a 30 something Florida native who made her way to Washington, DC in 2017 by way of Texas. Always with a passion for helping others, she pursued a career as a Physician Assistant and is currently working in the field of infectious diseases. While medicine takes up the majority of her day, she has always had a preoccupation with all things fashion. The idea for Kelly McCoyd came to be during a spontaneous early dinner at quintessential DC restaurant, Le Diplomate. Over a glass of sparkling rose and warm shrimp salad, Kelly decided, with the enthusiastic encouragement of Sheldon (her husband), to take the leap and start the blog. Kelly strongly believes in the importance of investing in timeless pieces and primarily devotes her social accounts to sharing tips and outfit inspiration to help others maximize their wardrobes. She hopes to inspire others to curate a wardrobe that can be effortlessly mixed and matched, ensuring you're always ready for any occasion! Beyond fashion, she sprinkles in her love for good food, cocktails, travel, and home decor.
