White Button Up x 3 ways

One of the most versatile pieces in my closet is a white button up, dressed up or down, it is a forever staple for me. Thanks to Sézane for sponsoring this post, I’m sharing 3 outfit ideas for styling the classic and perfectly oversized Max shirt this spring. I love that you can personalize the Sézane button ups – my Max shirt has my initials KM in a hunter green thread. You can go classic with initials, have fun with something more creative (up to 10 characters), and even add a symbol like a heart or star. I take my normal size in the Max shirt for an oversized fit.

1. For the Weekend

I find that a white button up always adds polish to an otherwise casual look. Styled here with cropped wide leg denim, ballet flats, and a navy knit tossed over my shoulders. The wide leg cropped denim is a new silhouette for me, but feels youthful and spring forward. I sized up 1 size in this rigid denim and they have relaxed with wears. Sadly this basket bag has sold out, but sign up for alerts. I love the dual handles for wearing over the shoulder, by the arm crook, or by the hand. It also has a canvas drawstring bag sewed on the inside to keep all your essentials safe.

2. For the Office

A white button up is fail proof for business casual at the office. While we still have some cooler spring days, I like the button up layered under a sweater. A layered look always adds depth to an outfit and is a little more interesting. These navy Martin trousers are new favorite that I absolutely love. I found that they fit true to size, but I did have to get my tailor to take the length up. The side slit faux pockets lay flat and the overall cut is so flattering. Sézane is a favorite of mine for finding high quality and chic trousers – these are no exception and I’m ready to buy every colorway offered! The navy knit I layered over top is the navy knit I shared last month that pairs with the matching navy knit skirt. I take my true size in this sweater. If you want an oversized fit (I think intender to have a more fitted silhoutte), I would recommend sizing up. All paired with an olive green canvas tote to carry my laptop and office essentials.

3. For Vacation

To take the button up super casual, layer it over a bathing suit paired with shorts. The large check print and elastic high rise waist on these shorts are summer chic (and also come with a matching top!). I took my normal size in the shorts – if you want a looser, more oversized fit, I would recommend sizing up. I love to incorporate natural textures like the rattan bag and flat mules in my spring and summer outfits. I sized down in the mules, but likely could have taken my normal size.

Thank you again to Sézane for sponsoring this post! If you’re not familiar with the brand, Sézane is a Parisian brand that just celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
