3 Outfit Ideas For Your Next Spring Event

Spring is in the air with the days slowly starting to last longer and feel warmer – here in D.C., the blooms (and pollen) are in full force. With the new season, means a social calendar filled with fun, celebratory events! Thanks to Sézane for sponsoring this post, I’m sharing 3 outfit ideas to wear to your next Spring event.

1. Wedding

This vibrant poppy maxi has the most beautiful movement from the pleats and dramatic trapeze sleeves. The Julietta dress long sleeves are ideal for cooler Spring nights and the loose, flowy fit would be perfect for someone with a growing bump! I decided to color block with the red heels for a more impactful statement, but the dress would look equally chic with a classic nude minimal strap heel. The fit is intended to be loose and I’m wearing a size 2. If you’re looking for a more muted color, the dress also comes in a navy shade.

2. Baby Shower

A knit set is a classic and sophisticated staple in my wardrobe and one I always turn to during transitional weather. The long sleeve Sami Jumper and midi length Naelle skirt add warmth for crisp Spring days. The polished silhouette and classic navy shade guarantee it to be a forever piece. Style the pieces together or separate for added versatility! I found both pieces to fit true to size and I’m wearing an XS in both the skirt and top. I paired the set with an on trend metallic heel and silver chain necklace, but for cooler days, would pair with a camel knee high boot. Some other events I would wear this to would be an engagement or housewarming party.

3. Wine Tasting

A jumpsuit always makes me feel a little bit cooler and this Manhattan jumpsuit is no different. The heavier weight cotton and ecru shade give nod to the utilitarian trend – a trend that always seems to come around each Spring. It is versatile and practical, easily dressed up or down, and guaranteed to make you feel pulled together instantly. I paired it with a silk neck scarf, retro sheer frame sunglasses, and a rattan crossbody bag for an elevated, chic day time look, but could easily dress it down with a retro sneaker and trench coat. I’m wearing a size 2 and found it to fit a little snug through the butt/hips. I’m 5’4″ and had to have the length taken up.
